Uzbekistan midfielder Abbos Fayzullayev sidelined for Uruguay friendly due to injury
Uzbekistan national football team midfielder Abbos Fayzullayev has been ruled out of the upcoming international friendly against Uruguay due to an injury sustained during a recent match against Kuwait.

On October 9, 2025, Fayzullayev was forced to leave the pitch during Uzbekistan’s friendly match against Kuwait after suffering an injury. Following a thorough medical evaluation, the Uzbekistan Football Association’s press service announced that doctors have advised the midfielder to sit out the upcoming game against Uruguay to ensure proper recovery.
For context, under the guidance of head coach Fabio Cannavaro, Uzbekistan secured a 2–0 victory over Kuwait in the friendly match held on October 9.
The Uzbekistan national team is set to face Uruguay on October 13, 2025, at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
