Saida Mirziyoyeva discusses reforms and WTO accession with UK Treasury official
During her visit to the United Kingdom, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, held productive discussions with UK officials, focusing on Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms and its pursuit of World Trade Organization (WTO) membership.

Mirziyoyeva participated in a roundtable discussion titled “New Uzbekistan – A Country of Great Opportunities,” where she highlighted the growing economic ties between Uzbekistan and the UK.
“Uzbekistan has become an increasingly attractive destination for British businesses, with over 270 UK companies now successfully operating in our country,” she stated. “I am delighted to see rising interest from our British partners and am confident that their engagement in our economy will continue to grow.”

In London, Mirziyoyeva also met with Lucy Rigby, Economic Secretary to the UK Treasury. Expressing gratitude for Rigby’s participation in the roundtable, she noted, “We had a fruitful exchange on Uzbekistan’s reform agenda and our WTO accession process. It is encouraging that the UK government fully supports this important stage in our nation’s development.”
