Uzbekistan and UK deepen economic and financial ties
A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov, visited London to advance strategic cooperation with leading UK financial institutions.

During the visit, a series of meetings were held with key figures, including UK Minister for Business and Trade Chris Bryant, CEO of UK Export Finance Tim Reed, CEO of Standard Chartered Saif Malik, Chairman of United Green Group Afshin Afsharnezhad, Chairman of the Board of International Hospitals Group Chester King, Head of Zaha Hadid Architects Patrick Schumacher, Vice President of Intertek Jeremy Gaspar, as well as representatives from major financial institutions such as J.P. Morgan, Société Générale, Jefferies, and StoneX.
The discussions focused on the development of infrastructure and industry, export financing, investment in Uzbekistan’s energy sector and green economy, and the issuance and circulation of financial instruments in international markets. Particular attention was given to financing public–private partnership projects, supporting new initiatives, and enhancing Uzbekistan’s investment attractiveness.
The parties also exchanged views on deepening financial integration, developing trade mechanisms, and supporting joint projects.
In addition, the head of the Uzbek delegation participated in the investment roadshow “New Uzbekistan – a large country with great opportunities,” which highlighted ongoing reforms and priority areas for economic development.
