President of Serbia arrives in Uzbekistan on official visit
At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić arrived in Tashkent on 28 October for an official visit. The high-ranking guest was welcomed at Tashkent International Airport by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov and other senior officials.

According to the visit agenda, high-level talks will be held in Tashkent to discuss prospects for further strengthening the multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia. The discussions will focus on expanding practical cooperation in such areas as industrial partnership, agro-industry and pharmaceuticals, information technology and digitalization, tourism, and education.
Following the talks, the sides are expected to sign a package of bilateral documents. The leaders also plan to exchange views on pressing international and regional issues of mutual interest.
Later this week, Aleksandar Vučić will take part as an honorary guest in the 43rd session of UNESCO’s General Conference, which will open in Samarkand.
