The meeting was also attended by US Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau and other officials.
Discussions focused on further strengthening Uzbekistan–US strategic partnership relations within the framework of the agreements reached at the high-level meeting held in New York on 23 September this year.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sergio Gor conveyed the greetings and best wishes of US President Donald Trump to President Mirziyoyev.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic political dialogue, growing exchanges at various levels, and expanding business ties. The volume of mutual trade continues to increase, and the visit of the US Chamber of Commerce delegation earlier in October was noted as successful.
Both parties emphasized the importance of advancing projects in key areas such as industry, finance, critical minerals, energy, digitalization, agriculture, and other priority sectors based on the adopted “roadmap”.
The sides also discussed strengthening cooperation in the fields of security, counter-terrorism, combating extremism, and tackling illegal migration.
The parties reviewed the schedule of upcoming events, including preparations for the upcoming C5+1 summit to be held in Washington next week.
