China remains top exporter of passenger cars to Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan imported 56,337 passenger cars – including electric vehicles – from 29 countries between January and September 2025, according to data released by the National Statistics Committee. The total value of imported vehicles during this period reached $807.3 million.
The country’s car imports increased by 1,927 units compared to the same period last year, reflecting growing domestic demand for foreign-made vehicles, particularly electric and hybrid models.
China continued to dominate Uzbekistan’s automobile import market, accounting for the vast majority of vehicles brought into the country. A total of 51,770 cars were imported from China in the first nine months of 2025. The Republic of Korea followed in second place with 2,524 cars, while the United States ranked third with 511 vehicles.
Japan (296), Germany (265), Hong Kong (249), Russia (171), India (168), the United Arab Emirates (98), and Austria (63) rounded out the top ten suppliers. The remaining 222 cars were imported from other countries.
