Uzbekistan reaffirms commitment to stronger Central Asia–U.S. partnership at C5+1 anniversary meeting
Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov took part in a meeting of the C5+1 foreign ministers held in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the regional cooperation platform.
Writing on his Telegram channel, Saidov said the gathering brought together the foreign ministers of the five Central Asian nations and the United States to celebrate a decade of the C5+1 format, which serves as a key mechanism for fostering dialogue and collaboration between the two sides.
“We expressed our sincere gratitude to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio for the warm reception,” Saidov noted. “Together, we continue to strengthen mutually beneficial partnerships between Central Asia and the United States, expand trade and investment cooperation, and promote regional stability and sustainable development.”
The minister reiterated Uzbekistan’s steadfast commitment to maintaining constructive dialogue and practical cooperation aimed at ensuring peace, prosperity, and shared progress throughout the region.
