Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to pay an official visit to Uzbekistan this week
At the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan from November 14 to 16. The visit will include high-level talks, the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, and the signing of key documents aimed at further deepening strategic partnership between the two countries.
According to the visit program, high-level bilateral negotiations will be held, alongside the second meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council chaired by the leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The agenda includes strengthening cooperation in priority areas such as trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, and the efficient use of water resources, as well as cultural and humanitarian projects.
In addition, discussions will cover pressing regional and global political issues, including cooperation within multilateral formats.
During the visit, a series of agreements will be signed to implement joint projects, including through the International Center for Industrial Cooperation, and to further consolidate Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan strategic partnership and alliance relations.
President Tokayev will also participate in the seventh Consultation Meeting of Central Asian heads of state during his visit.
