Currently, the air quality in Tashkent is being monitored 24/7. This work is carried out using mobile environmental laboratories organized by the Specialized Analytical Monitoring Center for Environmental Protection under the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change.
These laboratories measure air pollution levels across the city, identifying harmful substances and fine particulate matter on-site. One such laboratory is currently monitoring the air around the Turkiston metro station in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent.
To improve air quality, the Ecology Committee has established an operational task force. In cooperation with relevant agencies and organizations, measures are being implemented to enhance the city’s environmental situation.
Information collected by the mobile laboratories about pollution sources is sent to the relevant authorities, which take actions in accordance with the law.
The State Committee for Ecology and Climate Change urges residents to follow official information sources and, on days with high air pollution, limit outdoor activities and follow health recommendations to protect their well-being.
