According to the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, the application process for hosting the finals began in September during the World Championships held in Liverpool, where the Uzbek delegation presented its bid to the World Boxing Executive Committee.
The federation’s proposal was approved by the organization’s Board of Directors, which confidently awarded Uzbekistan the right to host the final stage of the competition. The World Boxing Cup finals will now take place in Tashkent in November 2026. The first stage of the tournament will be held in April in Brazil, followed by the second stage in June in China.
For reference, the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation became a member of World Boxing on 4 November 2024.
