Saida Mirziyoyeva and Rustam Minnikhanov discuss strengthening Uzbekistan-Tatarstan ties
Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, to discuss measures to further strengthen trade, economic, educational, and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan. Both sides emphasized their readiness to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.

During the meeting, the main directions of accelerated trade and economic collaboration between the two regions were reviewed. Officials highlighted the importance of expanding industrial projects, investment initiatives, and direct regional-to-regional partnerships.
Special attention was given to humanitarian and cultural relations. It was noted that Uzbekistan hosts the largest Tatar diaspora, providing a historical and cultural foundation for closer cooperation.
In the field of education, Tatarstan is recognized as one of Uzbekistan’s largest educational partners in Russia, with over 3,500 Uzbek students currently studying in the region.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception and open dialogue, Mirziyoyeva voiced confidence that the mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan will continue to grow and strengthen in the future.
