Energy Ministry restricts CNG filling station operations due to reduced gas imports
The Ministry of Energy has introduced temporary restrictions on the operation of compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations due to a sharp reduction in imported natural gas caused by a technical malfunction in a neighboring country’s gas network.
According to the ministry’s press service, the technical failure has significantly lowered the volume of natural gas imports.
The ministry emphasized that ensuring a stable natural gas supply to households and social-sector facilities, including schools, kindergartens, hospitals, universities, and thermal power plants, remains a top government priority.
To maintain adequate gas pressure for households and critical social facilities, temporary restrictions are being placed on CNG filling stations in accordance with schedules coordinated with local authorities.
“These measures are temporary. Work is actively under way to stabilize gas pressure, and further updates will be provided as the situation develops,” the ministry said.
