As part of these efforts, diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing paid a working visit to the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in northern China, according to Dunyo. The visit aimed to deepen ties between Uzbekistan’s regions and Ningxia, as well as to study China’s advanced experience in addressing desertification and promoting sustainable development.
During the trip, a roundtable discussion was held on cooperation between Ningxia and the regions of Uzbekistan. The event brought together representatives of Ningxia’s regional authorities, the scientific community, business circles, and experts from both sides.
The discussions resulted in an agreement to organize targeted delegations from Ningxia to Uzbekistan. These visits will focus on exploring opportunities for joint projects in combating desertification, advancing green development, agriculture, and other priority areas.
Uzbek diplomats also presented an overview of ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan across various sectors, with particular emphasis on environmental initiatives and the national “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) program.
In addition, the delegation held a series of meetings and negotiations with representatives of relevant ministries, agencies, and companies in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region to further advance practical cooperation.
