President Mirziyoyev to visit Pakistan
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Pakistan on February 5–6 at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The visit will take place in Islamabad and will include high-level talks, a meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council, and a joint business forum.

According to the official program, President Mirziyoyev is scheduled to hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir. The first meeting of the Uzbekistan–Pakistan Strategic Partnership Council is also planned during the visit.
Discussions at the highest level will focus on further deepening the strategic partnership and expanding multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. Particular attention will be given to strengthening political dialogue and enhancing ties between the two countries’ governments, parliaments, business communities, and regions.
The sides are expected to review prospects for increasing bilateral trade and advancing cooperation projects in industry, transport and infrastructure, and tourism, as well as continuing cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
An exchange of views on pressing international and regional issues is also on the agenda.
The visit is expected to conclude with the signing of a Joint Declaration and a substantial package of agreements covering priority areas of cooperation.
As part of the program, President Mirziyoyev will also take part in a joint business forum bringing together leading representatives of the Uzbek and Pakistani business communities.
