The talks focused on advancing the Uzbekistan–Jordan comprehensive partnership, building on agreements reached at the highest level during last year’s meeting in Samarkand. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the growing dynamism of bilateral contacts and exchanges.
It was noted that mutual trade volumes are increasing and the number of joint ventures continues to rise, reflecting expanding economic ties between the two countries.
Particular attention was given to strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation. The sides underscored the importance of revitalizing the work of parliamentary “friendship groups” based on an agreed roadmap, and enhancing their role in ensuring the effective implementation of agreements reached between the two heads of state.
The discussions also emphasized the need to broaden cooperation in trade, industrial collaboration, tourism, and cultural and humanitarian fields.
In this context, the importance of holding the first meeting of the intergovernmental commission and a business forum of leading companies in Tashkent later this year in a productive and results-oriented manner was highlighted.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on pressing international and regional issues.
