Uzbek servicemen win gold at IX “Team Spirit” competition in Pakistan
Servicemen of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Defense have claimed first place at the IX International “Team Spirit” competition held in Pakistan, achieving a record score of 97.3%.
The prestigious event brought together 34 teams from 19 countries, who competed in a series of demanding endurance and tactical challenges. Participants were required to cover a 90-kilometer course while overcoming 31 complex and unexpected obstacles, in addition to completing a number of practical test assignments.
The Uzbek team completed the course in 33 hours and 34 minutes, demonstrating both physical resilience and operational coordination throughout the competition.
In a standout performance, Uzbekistan’s servicemen also set an absolute record in the discipline involving the transportation of a simulated 80-kilogram “wounded” individual over a distance of five kilometers. The team completed the task in just 27 minutes – the fastest time recorded in the competition’s history.
According to the final results, Uzbekistan secured first place with an overall performance score of 97.3%. Malaysia finished second with 82.1%, while the United States placed third with 76.4%.
This marks the second consecutive victory for Uzbekistan at the “Team Spirit” competition. In the previous edition, Uzbek servicemen also took first place, scoring 95% and outperforming teams from China (74%) and Bahrain (65%).
