The victim, 33 year old junior sergeant Khosilbek Eshnazarov, served as an inspector in the road patrol service brigade of the capital. He had been hospitalized with severe injuries following the collision but later succumbed to his wounds. He left behind his parents, his wife, and three children.
The leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs expressed condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased officer. In an official obituary, the ministry stated that Eshnazarov had served in the internal affairs bodies since 2022 and described him as a dedicated officer.
Accident occurred in Mirabad district
The traffic accident took place on February 25 at approximately 21:48 in the Mirabad district of Tashkent.
According to reports, the car was driven by a 10th grade student born in 2010, identified as Doniyor, who was studying at a private school. He was operating the BMW M4, registration number 010210OC, without a driver’s license and was allegedly participating in a street race at the time of the incident.
Parents previously held administratively liable
It was reported that the teenager’s parents had previously been held administratively liable twice in recent months under Article 47 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility – failure to fulfill parental duties.
The first case, in September 2025, was linked to the student skipping school. The second, in January 2026, followed another incident in which he drove a vehicle without authorization and grossly violated traffic rules. A video circulated online at the time showed him, along with another BMW driver, ignoring a stop signal from a traffic police officer.
In an earlier statement, the teenager’s father, Zafarjon Kuchkunov, acknowledged negligence in supervising his son, saying that they had failed to draw conclusions after previous warnings and preventive discussions with authorities.
Vehicle owner repeatedly violated traffic rules
The BMW M4 involved in the crash is registered to Leyla Atadianova, born in 2002. Reports indicate that since 2024 she has at least 18 times allowed a person without a driving license to operate the vehicle and committed 37 other serious traffic violations.
A criminal case has been opened by the Mirabad District Prosecutor’s Office under Article 266 of the Criminal Code – violation of traffic safety rules resulting in medium or serious bodily injury. The investigation is ongoing.
