Airspace shutdown in Iran and Israel disrupts Uzbekistan-linked flights
Five flights departing from or heading to cities in Uzbekistan were forced to return to their airports of departure after Iran and Israel temporarily closed their airspace.
According to Uzbekistan Airports, the airspace of Iran and Israel was closed from 11:30 to 17:00 Tashkent time, based on preliminary information. As a result, several flights were unable to continue along their planned routes and had to turn back.
Flights departing from Uzbekistan
• 7Q4461 (Fly One Asia) – Andijan–Madina: the aircraft returned to Andijan International Airport.
• HH901 (Qanot Sharq) – Tashkent–Dubai: the flight returned to Tashkent International Airport.
Flights bound for Uzbekistan
• 7Q342 (Fly One Asia) – Madina–Tashkent: the aircraft returned to Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madina.
• 2U7706 (Fly Khiva) – Madina–Andijan: the aircraft returned to Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport.
• 9S3302 (Air Samarkand) – Jeddah–Tashkent: the plane returned to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.
Uzbekistan Airports did not immediately provide further details on whether additional flights could be affected, but advised passengers to follow updates from airlines and airport authorities.
