FM Bakhtiyor Saidov holds talks with Gulf state foreign ministers amid regional tensions
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, has conducted a series of telephone conversations with his counterparts across the Gulf region and the Middle East to discuss the rapidly evolving security situation.
Minister Saidov held an extensive discussion with the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. During the call, the sides exchanged detailed views on the current crisis in the Middle East.
"Expressing our solidarity with Qatar, we conveyed sincere condolences on behalf of the President of Uzbekistan," Saidov stated. He further emphasized the critical importance of strictly adhering to the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the non-use of force in international relations.
In addition to the talks with Qatar, FM Saidov reached out to several other key regional leaders to assess the impact of recent events on stability and security. These diplomatic efforts included conversations with, Sheikh Jarrah Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Oman and Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan.
According to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the discussions focused on the development of the regional situation and the collective efforts required to maintain peace. The diplomatic mission underscored Uzbekistan’s commitment to supporting stability in the Middle East through dialogue and respect for international law.
