President Mirziyoyev and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discuss regional stability via phone

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, to discuss the intensifying situation in the Middle East and the trajectory of bilateral relations.

During the conversation, both leaders expressed profound concern regarding the escalating tensions and growing confrontations within the Middle East region. They emphasized that preventing the further expansion of these hostilities is essential not only for the interests of regional nations but also for maintaining global stability. President Mirziyoyev affirmed that during these challenging times, Uzbekistan stands in full solidarity with the leadership and brotherly people of Saudi Arabia, noting his country’s comprehensive support for the Kingdom’s restrained and wise policy.

The talks also touched upon the welfare of Uzbek citizens currently in Saudi Arabia. President Mirziyoyev expressed his sincere gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Crown Prince for the practical assistance and favorable conditions provided to Uzbek pilgrims performing the Umrah pilgrimage.

In response, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud stated that he highly values the sincere goodwill and friendly support expressed by the President of Uzbekistan. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to elevating bilateral and multilateral relations to a new level. To achieve this, they agreed to intensify high-level dialogues and enhance coordinated joint efforts across various sectors of mutual interest.

The leaders also took the opportunity to exchange warm congratulations once again on the occasion of the recent Eid al-Fitr holiday, wishing peace and prosperity to their respective nations.
