New regulations mandate phone numbers match personal ID for mobile app registration and bank card linking
Starting from April 22, a new set of requirements will mandate that phone numbers used for mobile applications must strictly match the user's personal identification data. This measure aims to enhance digital security and ensure that the person using a mobile service is the legal owner of the associated phone line.

Under the new procedure, a user’s phone number must be synchronized with their Personal Identification Number of an Individual (PINFL). If the system detects a discrepancy between the phone number and the user's official identification, the individual will be unable to register for mobile applications or link bank cards to these platforms. In cases where data mismatches are identified, users will receive a notification via SMS informing them of the issue.
Furthermore, these restrictions will apply to existing accounts. If a mobile application or a bank card is currently linked to a phone number registered under someone else's name, access to those services will be limited after the specified deadline.
Experts are advising citizens to take proactive steps to avoid service interruptions. Users are encouraged to either officially register their current phone numbers in their own names through their mobile network providers or re-link their mobile applications and bank cards to a phone number that is already legally registered to them.
