During the dialogue, both parties reviewed the progress of agreements designed to regulate trade relations on a mutually beneficial basis. Saida Mirziyoyeva expressed her gratitude to Ambassador Greer for the United States' continued support regarding Uzbekistan's aspirations to join the World Trade Organization (WTO). This support is seen as a crucial element in Uzbekistan's broader strategy to integrate more fully into the global trading system and attract sustainable foreign investment.
The visit to the American capital has been marked by several key economic milestones. On April 6, the US-Uzbekistan Business and Investment Council officially commenced its activities in Washington. Co-chairs Saida Mirziyoyeva and Sergio Gor signed a memorandum of understanding, signaling a new era of cooperation. In her opening speech at the council, Mirziyoyeva emphasized that the partnership between the two nations has reached a qualitatively new level of engagement.
The diplomatic itinerary also included a productive meeting with Ben Black, CEO of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), to discuss a portfolio of large–scale projects. Furthermore, on April 7, Saida Mirziyoyeva held a business breakfast with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
