“The water supply networks in Taylak district are being reconstructed to ensure access to clean drinking water for residents of all neighborhoods,” she said.

Reportedly, Taylak district has a population of 231,100, of whom 197,500, or 85.5%, are connected to a centralized drinking water supply.

Access to centralized water remains limited in some neighborhoods. Residents of Bogichinor rely on hand pumps, wells, and water delivered from nearby settlements.

The Bogichinor water intake facility, commissioned in 2002, has exceeded its service life, with water currently supplied for around four hours a day.

Authorities plan to address the issue under a new project that includes the reconstruction of the facility and the laying of 8.5 km of pipelines. This is expected to extend the centralized water supply to an additional 3,300 people.

The delegation also visited the Urgut district, where new housing, schools, kindergartens, and medical facilities are under construction, alongside upgrades to existing infrastructure.

“We visited the Khaydarov farming family. Their experience deserves wider dissemination,” the statement reads.

The delegation also toured the Navoi family polyclinic, rebuilt from scratch on the president’s orders. Its maternity ward, serving women from 16 villages, meets modern standards.

“This week, the first baby – Shavkatjon – was born here. I see this as a positive sign for our future work,” Mirziyoyeva noted.
