Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviews expanding defense partnership with Turkey
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on the progress of Uzbekistan-Turkey military cooperation during a high-level briefing on April 23. Defense Minister Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov reported on the current status of joint activities between the two countries.
The meeting was also attended by a high-ranking representative of the Turkish Armed Forces.
Discussions focused on expanding military-technical cooperation, with particular emphasis on:
Strengthening interagency contacts.
The organization of joint military exercises and activities.

Comprehensive training programs for military personnel.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to a long-term partnership, pledging to further deepen bilateral cooperation within the defense sphere to enhance regional security.
