Uzbekistan and Seychelles ink agreement to boost economic and tourism ties
Uzbekistan and the Republic of Seychelles have formalized a new partnership aimed at strengthening bilateral ties across several strategic sectors.

The agreement, signed in Tashkent, focuses on activating political dialogue and establishing formal cooperation mechanisms between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov hosted the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Seychelles Barry Faure, for a high-level meeting. Saidov announced the results of the discussions via his Telegram channel, highlighting a shared commitment to enhancing diplomatic and economic relations.


During the negotiations, the parties reached several key agreements to bolster mutual engagement. The primary objectives of the newly signed document include the development of trade and economic ties and the expansion of opportunities within the tourism industry. Both ministers emphasized that regular consultations between their respective ministries would ensure a consistent and productive partnership.
In addition to bilateral matters, the diplomats exchanged views on pressing issues on the international agenda. The meeting concluded with the official signing of the "Agreement on General Cooperation" between the Government of Uzbekistan and the Government of Seychelles.
