Uzbekistan’s imports rise to $12.2 billion in Q1
Uzbekistan imported $12.2 billion worth of goods and services in January-March 2026, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Machines and transport equipment accounted for the largest share of imports at $4.1 billion, up 29.9% year-on-year.
Imports of industrial goods totaled $1.7 billion, an increase of 14.2%, while chemical products and related goods reached $1.5 billion, rising 21.5%.
Food products and live animals imports climbed 45.9% to $1.4 billion. Imports of services amounted to $1.2 billion, up 17.9%.
Imports of mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials rose 64.4% to $1.2 billion.
Other imported categories included:
• miscellaneous manufactured goods — $441.8 million, up 43.7%;
• crude materials excluding fuels — $288.9 million, up 28.7%;
• animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes — $158.1 million, up 46.0%;
• beverages and tobacco — $71.3 million, up 42.6%;
• other goods — $177.9 million, an increase of 2.3 times year-on-year.
