Tajikistan remains top buyer as Uzbekistan exports 1.2 thousand tons of rice in Q1
Uzbekistan’s rice exports reached 1.2 thousand tons during the first three months of 2026, according to the latest data from the National Statistics Committee. These shipments, delivered to five foreign markets, were valued at a total of $554.9 thousand.
The regional market remains the primary destination for Uzbek rice, with neighboring countries accounting for the vast majority of export volumes.
Tajikistan emerged as the leading buyer, importing 780.5 tons during the January–March period. This was followed by the Kyrgyz Republic, which purchased 197 tons, and Kazakhstan, which received 183.9 tons.
Beyond Central Asia, smaller quantities were also dispatched to Afghanistan and Lithuania. Exports to Afghanistan totaled 24 tons, while the European market, represented by Lithuania, accounted for 20 tons of the total volume.
