Uzbekistan, Qatar to expand higher education and research partnership
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan has held a virtual meeting with representatives from the Doha University of Science and Technology in Qatar to chart out a broader framework for bilateral academic partnership.
During the negotiations, educational officials and university administrators exchanged views on strengthening joint operations across several high-priority disciplines. The core focus areas of the discussion included engineering education, renewable energy systems, collaborative scientific research, technological innovations, information technology, and artificial intelligence.
The meeting reconfirmed the shared commitment of both Uzbekistan and Qatar to deepen their academic and scientific integration. The delegations emphasized their mutual interest in expanding a partnership anchored in modern innovation, while concurrently building fresh cooperative channels within the spheres of higher education and advanced scientific inquiry.
The upcoming collaboration will also involve the structuring of comprehensive student and faculty academic exchange programs. Representatives from both sides noted that the practical implementation of these joint educational initiatives will stimulate a robust transfer of knowledge, accelerate regional innovation, and promote long-term sustainable development to the mutual benefit of both nations.
