According to data analyzed from Google Trends and the monitoring systems of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, the spike in search activity was most pronounced during the national team’s group stage matches against Colombia and Portugal. Specifically, targeted searches combining the terms "Uzbekistan Colombia World Cup 2026" experienced an astronomical 450% increase as international football fans turned their attention to the tournament debutants.

The country's tourism authorities noted that the surge in search volume closely aligned with expanding media coverage. On match days, a synchronized rise was recorded both in the frequency of international press publications about the country and in direct user searches for targeted phrases such as "Visit Uzbekistan," "Travel Uzbekistan," and "Uzbekistan Tour."

The country's debut on the world stage caught the eye of the global press. Features and news items highlighting Uzbekistan were published across more than 3,000 foreign media outlets and news aggregators, including major international networks such as the BBC, ESPN, MSN, The Guardian, Fox News, Daily Mail, NDTV, and VnExpress. This vast media presence generated a substantial digital footprint, with aggregate audience engagement surpassing 52 million total interactions.

The Tourism Committee further reported that a dedicated international promotional campaign running alongside the tournament managed to capture over 1.07 billion views. This coordinated visibility strategy successfully translated general sporting curiosity into a broader interest in the country's cultural and travel appeal, helping drive a separate 10% increase in search topics specifically tied to "Tourism to Uzbekistan."
