Algeria appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, has received copies of the credentials of Jamila Achour, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the implementation of agreements reached during the official visit of the Uzbek delegation to Algeria in June this year.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture, and other areas of mutual interest.

Jamila Achour succeeds Mohamed Irki, who concluded his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan in May. He had headed Algeria's diplomatic mission in the country since January 2024.
