According to the committee, the inspections were conducted between May 19 and July 22, 2026, with a primary focus on preventing the illegal transportation and dumping of construction waste in unauthorized locations, as well as unlawful tree cutting.
The raids took place in the districts of Yuqori Chirchiq, Quyi Chirchiq, Zangiota and Qibray in Tashkent region, as well as Yangihayot, Yunusobod and Sergeli districts of the capital.
Inspectors found that construction waste had been transported and dumped by individuals in areas not designated for waste disposal.
As a result of the inspections, authorities drew up 48 administrative offense reports and imposed total fines amounting to UZS 316.3 million.
The committee also identified a driver who had repeatedly committed an illegal waste dumping offense within one year. Documents related to the case are being prepared for referral to law enforcement authorities in accordance with established procedures.
The National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change reminded the public that illegal waste disposal causes serious environmental damage, worsens sanitary and ecological conditions and entails liability under the law.
The committee added that Eco Police inspections to monitor compliance with environmental legislation are continuing in other regions of the country.
