The services sector accounted for the largest share of tax payments, with 163,932 legal entities paying more than UZS 23.5 trillion between January and June, according to the Tax Committee.
The country’s 20 largest taxpayers in the sector contributed nearly UZS 4.7 trillion, or 19.8% of the total. Their combined turnover reached UZS 41 trillion, while the tax benefits they received exceeded UZS 2.8 trillion.
Trade businesses paid more than UZS 18.8 trillion in taxes during the period. A total of 163,597 legal entities operated in the sector, with the 20 largest taxpayers accounting for UZS 1.7 trillion, or 9%, of the total.
The 20 largest trade taxpayers recorded a combined turnover of UZS 30.2 trillion and received UZS 190.3 billion in tax benefits.
Catering businesses paid more than UZS 1 trillion in taxes during the first six months. The sector had 23,148 legal entities, while its 20 largest taxpayers contributed UZS 215.9 billion, or 21.4% of total tax payments.
The 20 largest catering businesses reported a combined turnover of UZS 2.8 trillion and received UZS 25 billion in tax benefits.
Largest taxpayers by sector
According to the Tax Committee, Uztelecom, Asia Trans Gas and Uzbekistan Airways were the three largest taxpayers among the top 20 companies in the services sector.
In trade, the leading taxpayers were Anglesey Food, Oilpro Invest Plus and Uzum Market.
The largest taxpayers in the catering sector were International Foodchain, Mak Food Servis and Ketring.
