Reportedly, a total of 2,888 citizens were repatriated between January and July. Most had faced severe financial difficulties while abroad.
Among those returned were 1,306 people in difficult financial circumstances, 518 women with children and 1,022 children. Another 42 people required transportation in a lying position using specialized medical transport.
Fifteen citizens who needed medical supervision were brought back under the care of specialists and doctors from the Ministry of Health.
The Migration Fund allocated a total of UZS 9.936 billion to cover transportation, medical, organizational and other necessary expenses related to the repatriation of citizens.
The Migration Agency said Uzbek citizens who encounter difficulties while working abroad can seek assistance in accordance with the procedure established by law.
