Payments totaled UZS 330.82 billion in the first half of the year, followed by more than UZS 211 billion in July and August combined. Monthly payments amounted to about UZS 105.9 billion in July and UZS 105.4 billion in August, the Tax Committee said.
In August alone, 61,548 individuals received subsidies for supplying 105.4 million kWh of electricity to the grid.
Bukhara region accounted for the largest share of August payments at UZS 18.9 billion, followed by Khorezm region with UZS 18.3 billion and Karakalpakstan with UZS 12.4 billion.
The latest payments follow a delay in disbursing subsidies for April and May. In early July, the Tax Committee said it had confirmed payments totaling UZS 156.1 billion for 60,200 people who had supplied electricity to the grid during those two months.
The Solar Home program has been in place since April 1, 2023. Under the scheme, owners of solar power installations with a capacity of up to 50 kW receive UZS 1,000 from the state budget for each kilowatt-hour of electricity supplied to the national grid beyond their own consumption.
Subsidies can be claimed through the Solar Home section of the Soliq mobile app, where recipients can request that the funds be transferred to a bank card.
