During the working visit, Mirziyoyev will attend the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, as well as the next summit of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Both events will be held in the Avaza National Tourism Zone.
The agenda of the Consultative Meeting includes strengthening political and diplomatic ties, expanding trade and economic cooperation, and deepening collaboration in the energy sector. The leaders are also expected to discuss joint measures to protect the environment and adapt to climate change, as well as cooperation in culture, education and science and youth exchanges.
The meeting will also include an exchange of views on current regional and international issues, including peace, stability and security.
At the CIS Council of Heads of State meeting, the leaders will review the results of multilateral cooperation within the organization and discuss prospects for its further development. Particular attention will be paid to the 35th anniversary of the CIS.
The meetings are expected to result in the adoption of a package of joint documents. President Mirziyoyev’s program will also include a number of bilateral meetings.
