The warning was issued by Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Istanbul, which called on citizens to remain alert as weather conditions deteriorate.
The consulate advised people to avoid long-distance travel unless necessary and to stay away from low-lying areas prone to flooding, underpasses and tunnels during heavy rainfall.
Citizens were also urged to exercise caution near the coast, trees, power lines and unstable structures. Drivers were advised to reduce their speed and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.
The consulate called on Uzbek citizens to follow official warnings and recommendations issued by the relevant Turkish authorities and to pay particular attention to their own safety and the well-being of their families.
