Citizens will be able to apply for residency registration online
During a plenary session of the Senate, it was announced that citizens of Uzbekistan will soon be able to apply for residency registration online, eliminating bureaucratic barriers in the city of Tashkent and the Tashkent region. The proposed law aims to simplify the registration process, allowing both citizens and foreign nationals to fully exercise their right to choose a place of residence.

Central Bank projects Uzbekistan's GDP growth at 6% for 2025
Timur Ishmetov, Chairman of the Central Bank, announced during a January 23 press conference that Uzbekistan's GDP is expected to grow by 6% this year, driven by strong economic activity, increased investment volumes, an improved current account balance, and the stability of the UZS exchange rate.
