Law enforcement agencies empowered to send drug addicts for compulsory treatment
Case materials are drawn up by internal affairs bodies and submitted to the court at the place of residence.

The President signed the Law “On amendments and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the prevention and treatment of narcological diseases”.
In accordance with the document, the internal affairs bodies are empowered to draw up materials on the referral for compulsory treatment of persons suffering from narcological diseases.
The materials are drawn up by the internal affairs bodies on the basis of petitions from narcology institutions, family members or relatives, as well as at the initiative of the internal affairs bodies with notification of family members.
The internal affairs bodies deliver the person for examination to the narcological dispensary at the place of his residence.
After receiving a medical examination, the internal affairs bodies submit the collected materials to the court at the place of residence of the person or at the location of the narcological dispensary.
