Vladimir Norov becomes Minister of Foreign Affairs

In it, deputies considered and approved the candidacy of Vladimir Norov for the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It should be recalled that at the end of April, Vladimir Norov was appointed First Deputy FM of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He is also entrusted with the performance of the duties of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

At the end of December 2021, the former SCO Secretary General Vladimir Norov was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

On June 10, 2018, at the SCO summit, Vladimir Norov was approved for the post of SCO Secretary General for the period from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2021. Prior to that, he worked as director of the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan. In addition, he headed the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan.

For information, Vladimir Norov was born in the Bukhara region on August 31, 1955. In 1976, he graduated from the Bukhara State Pedagogical Institute, in 1985 – the MIA Academy of the USSR. He has the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
