MFA provides official information about Uzbek pilgrims involved in a road accident in Saudi Arabia
Kun.uz reported that a bus carrying Uzbeks who went to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah had an accident. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided official information on the situation.
“On December 27, at 09:15 by Saudi Arabian time, a road traffic accident occurred when the driver of a Mercedes-Benz bus belonging to the Al-Afaj transport company fell asleep on the Jeddah-Madina highway 160. 10 of the 50 visitors from Uzbekistan who traveled by bus were injured.
Emergency medical care was provided to the victims of the road traffic accident at the “Wadi Al-Far” and “Al-Himna” hospitals near the city of Medina. 40 pilgrims on the bus were accommodated in a hotel in Medina.
This situation is being controlled by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Jeddah. Constant communication with law enforcement agencies and medical institutions of Saudi Arabia has been established. “Our diplomats are in touch with our fellow citizens,” the MFA official information reads.
