Shavkat Mirziyoyev to visit China, take part in Winter Olympics opening ceremony

On February 4-5, at the invitation of the President of China Xi Jinping, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the city of Beijing to participate in the opening ceremony of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games.

According to the presidential press service, in accordance with the program of the visit, the President of Uzbekistan will also hold a number of bilateral meetings.

The opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will be held on February 4 at the Beijing National Stadium “Bird’s Nest” with the participation of foreign leaders and official delegations, heads of international organizations.

The Winter Olympic Games will be held from February 4 to 20, with strict observance of quarantine measures, 109 sets of medals in 15 sports disciplines will be played. Over 4,000 athletes from over 90 countries, including Uzbekistan, will compete for these medals.
