Uzbekistan appoints its first ambassador to Sweden
Former charge d'affaires of Uzbekistan in Sweden Nodir Ganiyev has become the republic’s first ambassador to this country.

Before his appointment to Sweden, Ganiyev served as head of the Foreign Ministry's Department for Cooperation with European Countries and European Union Institutions.
Nodir Ganiyev is 52 years old. He graduated from Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan) with a degree in philology and oriental studies.
Since 1994, he has been working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has held various positions in the central office and diplomatic missions of the country abroad.
It should be reminded that the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Stockholm was opened last year and became the 36th embassy of Uzbekistan in foreign countries.
