Dr. Sherif Farouk noted that strengthening the internal trade system, ensuring food security, and maintaining market stability are strategic priorities of his ministry.

Special attention was given to joint initiatives to increase trade volumes, develop logistics and supply systems, and improve distribution mechanisms. During the talks, the sides reviewed Uzbekistan’s digital practices in monitoring key goods, noting that such tools help enhance transparency, improve oversight, and ensure uninterrupted product supplies to the population.

The discussions confirmed that expanding economic cooperation, exchanging expertise, and establishing direct contacts between entrepreneurs serve the mutual interests of both countries.

Concluding the talks, Dr. Sherif Farouk expressed readiness to provide favorable conditions for attracting Uzbek investment into the Egyptian market and for implementing joint projects in the field of domestic trade.
