Fathulla Masudov, 57, dead

Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Fathulla Masudov has become another victim of the coronavirus.

Director of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre, Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Fathulla Masudov died at the age of 57, the Ministry of Culture said.

It is reported that he was being treated for coronavirus. He had a severe form of COVID-19.

Fathulla Masudov was born in 1963 in the city of Tashkent. Since 2015, he had been working as the director of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre. In 1999, he was awarded the Medal “Shuhrat”, in 2003 – the title “Honored Artist of Uzbekistan” and in 2014 – the Order “Mehnat Shuhrati”.
