Uzbekistan’s new ambassador presents credentials to President Erdoğan
Ilkhom Khaydarov, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Turkey, presented his credentials to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

During the conversation following the official ceremony, the current state and prospects for further expansion and deepening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkey were discussed.
It was emphasized that the relationship between the two presidents is sincere and friendly. It was also announced that a number of high-level and top-level joint events are scheduled to take place before the end of the year.
The significant potential for further development of mutual trade and economic ties, as well as commercial diplomacy, was highlighted. The importance of increasing bilateral trade volume to $5 billion in the coming years was underscored.
President Erdoğan stressed that all Turkish government agencies will provide assistance to the Uzbek ambassador in carrying out his mission.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Turkish President wished Ilkhom Khaydarov success in his important mission to strengthen bilateral relations.
As a reminder, Ilkhom Khaydarov arrived in Ankara on June 16. Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
