The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation offered to introduce a practice of granting a permanent residence permit for foreigners and refuse issuing it once every five years. Information on the development of the relevant bill was published on the federal portal of normative legal acts.
“This approach simplifies the implementation mechanism of the Institute for Permanent Residency in the Russian Federation, and envisages the revision of taxation and fiscal policy in general,” the statement said.
The public discussion of the draft law will last until 9 January 2019. The approximate date the document enters into force is September 2019.
