Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan discuss issues of expanding multifaceted cooperation
On March 15, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the government delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan led by Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov.
The head of state sincerely congratulated Prime Minister Oljas Bektenov on his recent appointment and wished him great success in his responsible activities.
In turn, the head of the government of Kazakhstan conveyed greetings and best wishes to the President of Uzbekistan from the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
During the meeting, issues of further expansion of Uzbek-Kazakh multifaceted cooperation were discussed. In particular, special attention was paid to the formation of a new agenda for practical interaction in preparation for upcoming joint events at the highest level.
The need to remove barriers and take coordinated measures to increase the volume of mutual trade turnover was emphasized, including during the activities of the working group headed by authorized ministers.
Issues of deepening cooperation in industry, transport and logistics, which are key areas in the strategic partnership of the two states, were also discussed.
The expediency of actively promoting a new portfolio of investment programs in priority sectors and infrastructure projects of regional importance in the field of transport and energy was noted.
The President of Uzbekistan emphasized the importance of continuing close and systematic contacts at the government level in order to radically expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
