A trade house showcasing textiles from Uzbekistan’s Andijan region has opened in the American city of St. Louis, the regional administration reported.
The opening ceremony took place on 10 September and was attended by regional governor Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov, who is visiting the United States, Saidazim Burkhankhodjaev, founder of the logistics company ITF Group LLC, as well as representatives of local businesses and Uzbek textile enterprises.
The trade house includes a showroom featuring ready-made garments produced in Andijan. It will also serve as a platform for negotiations with local and international buyers.

According to the regional administration, St. Louis is among the major logistics hubs in the United States. Through the trade house, Uzbek producers will be able to supply their goods to different states.
The Uzbek delegation also visited the office of ITF Group in St. Louis. The parties discussed prospects for developing logistics services in Andijan region and opportunities to expand exports of Uzbek goods to the U.S. market.
Talks covered issues such as international certification of products, simplification of logistics chains, and boosting bilateral trade. The importance of ensuring production meets the high requirements and standards of the United States was emphasized.

In August, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed that trade houses for Uzbek textiles be opened in New York and St. Louis. He highlighted the potential to increase textile exports to the United States five to six times, noting that expanding supplies to developed countries is a priority for the sector.
