FIFA Futsal World Cup: RFU defeats Uzbekistan 4-2

Uzbekistan fell to second successive defeat as Russia Football Union registered a 4-2 win in Group B of the FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021 on Wednesday.

The loss was a blow to Uzbekistan’s hopes of advancing to the knockout stage with the team having suffered a 5-4 defeat to Guatemala in the opening match on Sunday. Uzbekistan will face Egypt in its final tie on Saturday.

Thanks to this victory, the Russian team is topping the Group B standings with 6 points.
