Son of the ex-Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan is still in search
Exactly one year ago, in March 2018, Alisher Kadyrov, a son of the former Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Rashid Kadyrov, was declared wanted.
Currently, he still is on the list of wanted individuals of the Uzbek Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the ministry, Alisher Kadyrov is accused of extortion and fraud. According to Kun.uz sources at law enforcement agencies, “his search continues”.
It should be recalled that in early January of this year it became known that the process of the criminal case against the former Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan Rashid Kadyrov, accused of bribes and extortion, began in Tashkent.
Earlier, the Prosecutor General’s Office reported on detention of the former General Prosecutor of the Republic R. Kadyrov, accused of committing crimes under Articles 165 (extortion), 205 (abuse of power or official authorities) and 210 (receiving bribes) of the Criminal Code of the Republic. Punishment under these articles envisages imprisonment for up to 15 years.
According to data of the Prosecutor General’s Office, within the framework of the criminal case against the former Prosecutor General, 24 individuals were charged with criminal proceedings, including his son Alisher Kadyrov, who was put on the international wanted list.
